Shelter span is a proposal for bicycle track and repair pitstop along a disused flooded railway track in the outskirts of Beith, Scotland. The project is centred around the needs of the individual biker, who can cycle along a scenic route that bridges the user between the rural and urban and connects Beith to its neighbouring towns and villages. The building also serves as a community led bike station where bikers can use the available tools in the individual workspaces to tune their bikes, join other bikers in the cafe or kitchenette and assist one another in the available communal workshops.
